In 2020, the very first community event we held was on Machine learning.

Machine Learning is sometimes very academic and merging it to industry issues sometimes requires many adjustments in terms of what to do or what not to do.

This talk walked through some experiences of a Data Scientist and how they could best include their academic Machine Learning Knowledge.

The guest speaker at this event was Julien Nyambal, a Data Scientist/Software Developer @ Entelect based in Johannesburg, South Africa. 

He is currently a part-time Ph.D. student focusing on improving Binarized Neural Networks.

He was also the Co-organizer of the 2018 - 2019 Indaba X Cameroon and a host at the 2019 Indaba X Ethiopia).
